Mack McKeller

Mack McKeller, former District Court Judge for District 29B Seat 2 from November of 2018 until December of 2020.  He is a long time resident of Brevard for more than 25 years and was born and raised in these mountains.  He practiced law in a solo general practice concentrating in domestic and criminal court from 1995 until his appointment to the bench.  

Mack has been married to Paula McKeller for 32 years.  He has four daughters who all graduated from Brevard High School and are now pursuing fulfilling careers.

Elise L. Wall

Elise L. Wall was born and raised in Dunwoody, GA, a suburb just outside of Atlanta, GA. She moved to Brevard, NC in 2009. From 2013 to 2016 she moved to Jacksonville, Florida for law school but returned to Brevard, NC to practice law. When Ms. Wall is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending sporting events and playing tennis.

Chris Reed

Chris Reed has called Hendersonville his home since 1995, graduating from North Henderson High School in 2002. Returning to the area after undergraduate and law school in 2010, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. Chris Reed primarily practices in the areas of Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, and Civil Litigation. He is a licensed member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Federal Court Western District of North Carolina.

Derek A. Jones is a native of western North Carolina. He grew up in the nearby town of Drexel, suburb of Morganton, North Carolina, where some of his family members continue to live. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and he enjoys attending church where he leads worship at Tabernacle of Praise in Fletcher, North Carolina.

Neal W. Stanifer

Neal W. Stanifer was born and raised in New Tazewell, Tennessee. Following law school, he returned to his hometown where he had the opportunity to practice law alongside his mentor and uncle, David H. Stanifer. Mr. Stanifer primarily focuses on criminal law, civil litigation, and family law. He has tried a wide variety of cases in North Carolina and Tennessee, and has also handled several matters in federal court and the court of appeals. He is a member of both the North Carolina State Bar and the Tennessee State Bar. He is also licensed in the United States District Court for Eastern Tennessee.

Jason G. Blackwell was born and raised in Henderson County, North Carolina. Upon completing law school, he came back to his hometown to practice law. When Mr. Blackwell isn’t in the office he enjoys relaxing at home on his porch taking in our beautiful mountains. He also plays in a curling league in South Carolina.
